培养目标：本专业旨在培养德、智、体、美全面发展的社会主义接班人，适应社会主义市场经济、汽车产业发展和汽车后市场需要，掌握车辆工程专业所必需的基础科学知识，以及汽车设计制造、性能检测、故障诊断和计算机技术与信息处理技术知识，具备较强的沟通协调能力、人文素质、团队精神创新意识、国际视野和自主学习能力。能胜任车辆及其零部件研发、制造工艺设计、性能检测、生产运作、组织管理等工作的高素质应用型车辆工程技术人才。

Aims: The Vehicle Engineering Program aims to achieve the following: (1) Provide graduates with a comprehensive understanding of vehicle engineering that encompasses both the fundamental theories and practical expertise in automotive design and manufacturing, performance evaluation, fault diagnosis, computer technology and information processing techniques. (2) Foster in students robust communication and coordination skills, humanistic qualities, a collaborative and innovative mindset, a broad international perspective, and the capacity for autonomous learning. (3) Address the increasing demand for highly skilled professionals in the field of vehicle engineering in the automobile industry and automobile aftermarket of China by training skilled talents for roles in vehicle and components R&D, manufacturing process engineering, performance testing, production management, and organizational leadership.

Characteristics: The Vehicle Engineering Program at Beibu Gulf University, in partnership with Eastern Michigan University, is an internationally recognized flagship program that harnesses the educational excellence of both institutions to offer a high-quality curriculum. This program is designed to develop automotive engineers with a global perspective, solid professional knowledge, and robust practical skills. Students are expected to gain a solid professional knowledge of vehicle engineering and robust practical expertise in this field, along with strong cross-cultural proficiency, innovative thinking, and a sharp understanding of the global trends in the automobile industry, preparing them for success in this sector.
